History Of The church

Hope Tabernacle Apostolic Church was birthed on May 16, 2004. Our first service was held in the basement of Pastor and Sister Linford A. Cockings’s home, at 91 Green Manor Avenue Windsor Connecticut with twelve in attendance. We were blessed with the presence of God in our services on Sunday mornings and evenings, and bible study on Wednesday nights. As we continue to grow in numbers the Lord open another place of worship, Roger Wolcott School in Windsor CT.

In August 4, 2004, we transition our services at the Roger Wolcott School; we continue to see the church flourish with visitors attending our services and other believers. We added three Sunday school classes for different age group. After being there for six months another door of opportunity was open for us to have services at The Wilson Congregational Church.

In May, 2005 we moved to Wilson Congregation Church, and continued worshipping there until April 30, 2011.  We returned to 91 Green Manor Avenue and worshipped there until July 2011.  The Lord has opened up the door to us at Congregation Beth Ahm, 362 Palisado Ave, Windsor, where we are currently worshipping.   We have seen a great move of the Lord as He continues to bless us in our services. At present there are several ministries active within the church. They are Deaf ministry, Ladies ministry, Men ministry, Music ministry, Sunday school, Outreach and Youth ministry.

The Lord has placed us in this town for a purpose.  For such a time as this, the Lord has brought us into His Kingdom.  It is with much excitement that we dedicate our Sanctuary to His glory on Saturday, August 18, 2018.  It is another milestone in our history and as we move forward into the future with great anticipation, knowing we are living in an exciting time as we see the Lord work among His people.

Yes, we have come this far by faith!
